Edgar Rigunay Tagorda, 68, of Pepeekeo died June 28 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Santo Domingo, Ilocos Sur, Phillippines, he was a retired mechanical and construction engineer for AJ&P in Saudi Arabia, Okuhara and Associates, Yamada and Sons, Subaru telescope, TM Designers, Mitsunaga, M&E Pacific and state Highways Division, and general contractor for his business, KJT construction. He was also a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Monday (Aug. 5) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. All-night vigil follows at the family home in Pepeekeo. Visitation again 9-9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Papaikou. Born in Hilo, she was a retired director of Services for Seniors, teacher at Hilo Community School for Adults member of Hilo High School Foundation and Waiakea Baptist Bible Church, where she was the church secretary, chair of the Women’s Mission and a member of the pastor’s search committee. Constance “Baby Aulani” Aulani Pua, 79, of Keei Beach died July 6 at home. Born in Kealakekua, she was a housemaid at Kona Inn and the former Kona Surf, a baker at Kona Bakery, former owner of Capp’s Drive In, security officer at Kona Community Hospital and the Department of Human Services and member of the Ahahui Kaahumanu Society, Na Wahine O Kamehameha, Kahikolu Congregational Church and American Legion Women’s Auxilary. Celebration of life was held at Honaunau Rodeo Grounds on July 23.
